I created the MTD in 2006 to help foster the relationship between all levels of trumpet players.  I noticed my students playing the same instruments they started on in 4th grade throughout their public school time.  This was not because they liked the instruments, it was because they didn’t know what else was out there.  I felt the need to educate not only my students, but also help my local community of musicians. 

    I cannot thank you all enough for the success of the MTD.  I am very happy with the turn out, the master classes, and the performances by our guest artists.        

    Since 2006 the MTD has taken place at Bel Air High School in an old building from 1949.  In August of 2009 we will be opening the new building, a state-of-the-art facility that promises to be a great addition to our county.  The MTD09 will be happening with more room and more opportunities. 

    I would like to thank all of the sponsors and artists for their contributions to our event.  You have all had a great influence on many musicians, young and old.
